This first exhibition room deals with the radical changes that took place in Austria between 1918 and 1921. There are nine large portraits. Each of these corresponds to one of the nine themes in this room. If you stand at the entrance and look to the right, you see a section entitled “Republic”. There is a monitor with a black-and-white film. This is the first station.
